The Presbyterian Church of St. Albans, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Edward Davis, will host a benefit concert to mark World AIDS Day on Saturday, November 29 at 4 p.m. The concert, which is being sponsored by the Health Information Ministry and Youth for Christ, will be held at the church, located at 190-04 119th Avenue, St. Albans. Spoken word, dance, musicians and singers will combine with a multimedia presentation.
 
 Featured presenters will include Theatre of the Living Word, New Vision, Ebony Voices, and The Liturgical Saints. The Master of Ceremonies is Deacon Marlon Campbell. Visions of the past, present, and future of AIDS will also be shared. Proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Keep A Child Alive Organization.
  
 Keep A Child Alive is an organization, co-founded by Alicia Keys, that helps to provide anti-retroviral treatment and services to children and families with HIV/AIDS in Africa. 
 Ambassadors include: Alicia Keys, Iman and Jessica Alba, among others.
 
 Established by the World Health Organization in 1988, World AIDS Day will be observed this year on December 1. It is an opportunity to lift up hope, and to refocus public attention and resources to combating the global AIDS epidemic.

    Theatre of the Living Word presents Frederick Knott’s classic suspense thriller Wait Until Dark. This spine-tingler follows three killers as they launch a scheme against blind woman in an attempt to find a smuggled doll filled with heroin. The suspense steadily mounts as the web of lies draws tighter, culminating in an all-out, edge-of-your-seat climactic sequence.
